This technique and idea has been around for a long time now. As far as I remember it was first introduced when the Cube by 3DSystems first came out and then borrowed by Ultimaker for there version 2.
Essentially it involves pasting the PVA or Prittstick glue onto the cold bed, heating the bed up and printing. At the moment we are having a lot of success printing large surface areas using PLA and they are not pealing up from the bed as they were before. What a revelation, something which we wish we had known about a long time ago.
Just a little tip though……don’t use the power stuff. If you do then you may need to take a trip to your local hardware store for their finest quality hammer and chisel!!!!
